The Windmill Ranch Preserve

The Windmill Ranch Preserve is located at 9180 West Highway 180 in Snyder, Tx, also known as "Randals Corner". The Ranch is 7.7 miles west of the square in downtown Snyder. From downtown Snyder, take Highway 180 west until reaching Randals' Corner at County Road 264-S. Turn Right onto 264-S, and go exactly 1 mile until you come to an intersection. Turn Left on to CR 242, and go 1/2 mile and look for our big metal entrance sign. Turn in under WINDMILL RANCH PRESERVE, over the cattle guard. Follow this winding Ranch road about 1 mile
Directions to The Windmill Ranch Preserve from Lubbock
Take Highway 84 through Post and through Justiceburg. Watch for Farm Road 1269/Fluvanna. Take a right onto FM 1269. The road turns back and forth up a steep hill through a very rocky area. At the stop sign in Fluvanna, go straight, continuing several miles on FM 1269. At the County Road 242 sign, turn left on the dirt road and continue straight (do not take the curve in the road) until you see the Windmill Ranch Preserve entrance on your right. Turn right and follow the road in about one mile to the Ranch facilities. Alternately, stay on FM 1269 until you reach Highway 180 and turn left. Continue until you reach "Randal's Corner," (County Road 264S) and turn left. Please Note: on Highway 180, you will pass an entry gate to Windmill Ranch Preserve; DO NOT enter this gate, as the area is fenced off from the rest of the Ranch). After turning onto CR264S, go one mile to County Road 242. Turn left, go one mile to The Windmill Ranch Preserve main entrance. Turn left and follow the road approximately one mile to the Ranch facilities.
